NSU ONLINE ORIENTATION

I developed multiple logo animation concepts, ultimately centering the final design around NSU’s iconic Mako fin to reveal the name with subtle ripple effects. Throughout the review process, I worked closely with the client to refine the direction and ensure the animation aligned with their vision. During the final critique, they requested both background plates be white, with the water ripple animation initiating the sequence.
Lower Thirds
While designing the lower-third graphics, I explored numerous variations, producing ten initial concepts during the early ideation phase. Although these concepts were ultimately not selected, they helped inform the final direction. Through continued collaboration with the client, we incorporated key elements from Nova’s “boundary box” branding and the Mako fin, resulting in the clean, minimalistic design showcased above.
Interactive Graphics

For this module, the client requested title cards and interactive slides to support the learning experience. The title cards introduced each section, while dynamic “correct” and “incorrect” slides provided feedback during quiz portions. The visual direction was designed to align seamlessly with the NSU logo animation, brand guidelines, and a water-inspired aesthetic.
This project provided the opportunity to develop a cohesive motion graphics package for Nova Southeastern University’s online orientation modules. From logo animation and lower-third graphics to interactive slides and title cards, each element was designed to work together as a unified visual system. Through close collaboration with the client and careful attention to the university’s brand guidelines, the final deliverables support both the educational experience and the visual identity of NSU.
