#NSU EDGE
I was granted the opportunity to be a practicum student for the Social Media Team in the PRMC Department at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). My role as the practicum student, was not only to create content for the university's social media but, also to create content for the social media campaign, "What's Your NSU Edge?"

NSU's Social Media team has three philosophies:
Educate, Inspire, and Engage. Within those philosophies, this campaign falls into the "Inspire" area.
Above is the long-form video I was tasked to create over the course of the practicum. Combining the existing footage from the short form videos and some extra b-roll, this video was posted on the multiple NSU social media platforms.
While creating the short-form and long-form videos for this practicum, I directed, produced, and edited everything while using an iPhone. Between uploading videos from weekly to bi-weekly, I also had to set up times and coordinate with the student's schedules for the interviews and the b-roll.

Template concept created by me*
During this practicum, the department gave me various templates to use for videos. I wanted to add my own creative touch to the lower thirds, so I created an original template while keeping the integrity of the school's brand.

One of the challenges that I came across during this experience was the art of copywriting. To make a caption is simple, however, keeping up to date on trending topics and using hashtags that students engage with was a new adventure for me.

Each short-form video was not only posted on the university's website, but also on other social platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn,

Overall, working under the Social Media Manager and Content Specialist, has taught me a lot about the career path. It has solidified my interest in the field of University Marketing and Social Media Managing as a whole. I look forward to receiving more opportunities in this field.
