FLOW: The Twitch Experience
Music: Changes. - Chromonicci
I have partnered with the Atlanta-based DJ by the name of Thrice Groove to create content for his twitch stream "FLOW". I added motion to the promotional ads on social media, before the start of the stream, and during the DJ set.
Early Development

This journey first started with taking the assets from the .psd file provided by Thrice's graphic designer and adding motion. These were posted a week before each show to promote the Twitch stream.
"Loading Screen"

Once the traction of the stream started, we needed something to be on the screen as viewers waited. In the early development stages of the "loading screen," I wanted bright colors. However, the way I went about it wasn't quite right. I then took Thrice's aesthetic into account and remembered he is a part of a collective called "Player 99" This collective takes a lot from the arcade and console designs, which inspired me to create the motion on the left.
For the design on the right, I wanted to use live-action footage with Thrice's logo. He sent me clips from his most recent video and footage from a DJ set. I edited a quick video back and forth between videos to make the "Loading screen" that supplied him with a variety of visuals for the stream.
Twitch Visuals
Because this show was bi-weekly, this experience kept me on my toes. Quick turn arounds and Weekly meetings with how Thrice wanted the visuals to look like.

Each of the "FLOW" visuals were shown throughout the set on screen for the viewers. having the word flow against stock footage (provided by Pixelbay) became its staple and I was given full creative control to animate the word each time. This process really tested my creativity and technical ability.

Thrice also wanted to have different sayings and the logo to be a part of the visual experience. We made videos for "And so we keep going" and his official logo. seeing the positive response from the viewers allowed me to keep evolving the visuals for FLOW and enhance each stream.

Beneath The Surface
Beneath The Surface was a segment in FLOW where Thrice interviewed an artist. For this show, the artist was an Atlanta-based artist, Grimm Lynn. The logo and brand were created by another graphic designer. I started out the title sequence with simples colors and transitioned into the saturated purple in the original flyer. I also created lower thirds and visuals when the speakers and songs were being presented.
I was given this .psd file and used its layers to create the motion. I used this color palette in the intro above as well.

Below is the lower third I created and a title card for the songs being mentioned throughout the interview. Sadly the lower-thirds were not able to be used during the twitch stream. However, it was still an amazing opportunity to practice creating visual assets. The lowerthird included the Artist's name and their social media platforms. The goal of the design was to have a playful, welcoming, lower-third.
